About me

I grew up in northern Louisiana, a land of rolling hills, tall pines, and cypress studded lakes. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English History from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, I studied journalism at Ohio State University. A stint of traveling followed graduate school and then I settled down to work in corporate America. My husband and I reside in Gilbert, Arizona.

I write character driven novels that always include a mystery twist and a generous dash of humor.

Welcome to my website about books I’m reading, the writing life, and the funny stuff that lightens up each day.

A few of my favorite things:  The San Juan Islands, grapefruit mimosas, vicunas,  foreign films, and collecting antique maps

My guilty pleasures:  bourbon pecan pie, dark chocolate, photographing abandoned buildings

Dreaming of:  Santorini, Sunset Beach, N.C.,  or any place with white sand and ocean breezes (I live in the desert – summer is here)

On my reading List: The Palace of Treason, The Rocks: A Novel, The Strangler Vine, The Baker’s Daughter, and Dead Wake.
